The King of all Indian Cuisines!

I am sure everyone has heard of the word “Biryani” as being one of the delectable and sumptuous Indian food. If not, here I am to take you through a tour of the King of all Indian cuisines – the righteously mighty Biryani!
Fun Fact 1:
Biryani originated in Persia and was brought to India by the Mughals.
Sundays are the official ‘Biryani day of the week’ in almost half of the Indian population, be it Chicken Biryani, Lamb Biryani, Prawns Biryani, Egg Biryani, Fish Biryani or Veg Biryani. As a kid, I myself would be waiting for Sunday (of course the school day off), but also other reason being the appetizing biryani that my mother would make.
Fun Fact 2 :
Biryani is also called as - Burmese in Myanmar; Kabuli Palaw in Indonesia; Nasing Biringyi in Philippines; Khao mhok in Thailand
The house would be filled with the tantalizing aroma of Basmati rice, the slight scent of the soft lamb in air, the arousing mix of ginger and garlic, the broad range of the various spices mixed – the sweet and spicy flavor of cinnamon, the severity of cloves, the classy jeera, the flaming green chillies and the perfect garnishing with fresh mint and coriander leaves.
Mouthwatering, isn’t it? I assure you it tastes much delicious than what it looks above!
